Aurora Borealis puts on a fine show at Burnfoot

Guests staying in The Hideaway in late November have shared a number of spectacular photographs with us; not with any special effects – just taken with a bog standard smartphone.

Outstanding views of the ‘Northern Lights’ were visible – not from the arctic circle, but from the tennis court here at Burnfoot.

There are several apps available which let you know when the conditions are right, so if you’re staying with us during the winter it may be worth downloading it as these displays are very regular here in Europe’s largest Dark Sky Park.
