- Gliding Over The Cheviots
Nothing beats gliding for the sheer exhilaration of silent flight. Borders gliding is superbly located to take advantage of superb views over the Cheviot Hills and the many thermals they generate. In the right conditions you can fly over Burnfoot to give your envious family a wave!
- Kirkharle Courtyard
The farm where Capability Brown was raised and tutored in landscape design is now a collection of local arts and crafts studios.
- Northern Experience Wildlife Tours

Northside surf school in Amble promises 'smiles guaranteed' with their surf lessons at Druridge Bay. Operates throughout the year.
- The Jinty Painting School
The Jinty Painting School is based on the Nunnykirk Estate between Rothbury and Morpeth.
The studio exists to inspire and encourage you to start painting or develop your skills and offers classes for the complete beginner to the more experienced artist, in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
All the courses include materials and equipment.

This fine art gallery in Hexham features the work of local artists and painting courses led by renowned Northumbrian artist Ben Haslam.
- Wild Harmony
Knowledge from the past...skills for the future. Wildharmony is a family run Outdoor Adventure provider based in nearby Byrness who specialise in innovative and exciting ways of exploring, discovering and celebrating the natural world.
Run by ex-serviceman and ecologist Rob Caton, the Ray Mears of Northumberland, who can teach you all manner of bushcraft skills.
Day courses take place in the grounds of Cragside House throughout the year.
